UNDERGROUND BUNKER

Facility Details

The Patmos Facility offers 11,500 square feet of secure underground space. The main floor covers 8,464 square feet, with an upper two-section mezzanine adding 2,045 square feet, and an adjacent 925-square-foot HVAC/storage mezzanine. A significant portion of the ground floor is mounted on industrial springs to absorb shock from nuclear detonations, earthquakes, or large-scale explosive blasts. The bunker’s foundation is constructed on a thick gravel base, engineered to sway up to 12 inches, minimizing or eliminating structural damage under extreme conditions.

36 Person Max Occupancy
The facility's 36-person capacity is designed to support large families, trusted business associates, or a network of survival partners. This shared occupancy ensures that the facility can sustain a self-sufficient micro-community capable of operating independently from the surrounding chaos.

Communal Amenities and Private Living Areas
The Patmos Facility currently features a spacious communal kitchen with cherry cabinets, equipped with two stove/oven combinations, two sinks, and two large refrigerators, making it well-suited for communal meal preparation. The facility includes 10 bedrooms and three private bathrooms, each with sinks, toilets, two showers and one with a bathtub. Additionally, there is a communal bathroom with four toilets, sinks, and showers, and a communal laundry room with two washers and two dryers. Designed for flexibility, the facility offers the option to add 6 to 8 additional bedrooms in the existing upper mezzanine  and a large master bedroom with private bathroom (architectural drawings available) to accommodate the specific needs of the buyer.

Trauma Medical Room
The facility includes a small fully equipped trauma medical room capable of supporting emergency medical procedures. In a crisis where access to hospitals is no longer viable, having an on-site medical facility with a trained paramedic or doctor ensures that immediate life-saving care can be provided to those injured or ill within the bunker.

Long-Term Food Storage
The Patmos Facility is equipped with $100,000 worth of long-term 25 year freeze dried food storage systems purchased in 2021, designed to sustain all 36 occupants for extended periods. The climate-controlled storage ensures that the food remains viable for 30 plus years, providing a diverse range of preserved goods to meet nutritional needs and dietary requirements during long-term occupancy. This ensures complete self-sufficiency in food, eliminating reliance on external resupply during shelter in place scenarios.

Fresh Water Sources
A dependable water source is crucial for long-term resilience. The Patmos Facility features two independent private wells, one is hardened against sabatoge and the other is located in the field in front of the structures and can be protected with a concrete housing by the new owner. Each well delivers over 25 gallons per minute of potable water, supported by two buried stainless-steel tanks with a combined capacity of 10,000 gallons. This system ensures a continuous, independent supply. Additionally, the property fronts a small river, safely above the floodplain, providing a tertiary backup for emergencies such as firefighting or well disruption.

Waste Disposal

Wastewater is collected and processed by a grinding unit before being directed to two large commercial sewage ejector pumps. The effluent is then pumped into a military-grade septic tank and drain field. During the 2022 service / inspection, the professional technician confirmed that the entire system was “overbuilt” and more than sufficient to meet the demands of the facility, ensuring long-term reliability and capacity. The system has had minimal use since but should be inspected during any buyer before closing.

Electrical Power

The property is equipped with both grid power and two alternative backup energy systems—one grid-tied and one fully isolated. Detailed analysis of these grid down systems can be found on the Threat Mitigation page at the end of this analysis.

Grid Power w/ Backup

The grid power is supplied by a three-phase grid power electrical system, located at the southeast corner of the property, with upgraded commercial-grade infrastructure and wiring installed in 2024. This system is connected to an automatic transfer switch, which activates a 65 kW Cummins liquid-cooled propane generator during outages. For additional protection, power is stepped down to single-phase 220V/110V as it enters the facility through EMP-protected connections, ensuring continuity of power in both normal operations and during grid failures or EMP events. An isolated Capstone C65 turbine generator is housed in the generator/battery building.

CBRN Air Filtration System

Surveillance System

The property is surveilled by a series of external and internal hard-wired cameras, allowing on-site or remote viewing via fiberoptic cable (900Mbps). The above-ground CMU building access is key card controlled and allows authorized visitors to use a video-phone and bell to request access thru a remote controlled electro locked door.

Embassy-Grade Internal Vault for High-Value Assets

In addition to life preservation, the Patmos Facility offers robust solutions for asset protection. The embassy-grade internal vault is designed to store high-value assets such as cash, precious metals, firearms, irreplaceable documents, and cryptocurrency cold storage keys. Storing your Bitcoin keys on engraved physical assets, safely secured away from the growing threats of the digital world, is a smart and secure choice for long-term protection. Constructed to meet the highest security standards, this vault ensures that critical assets remain protected from theft, damage, or confiscation, providing peace of mind during times of uncertainty and crisis.

BUNKER DESIGN

The Patmos Facility was inspected in 2020 by professional architects and engineers with Hardened Structures / Hardened Shelters and the drawings are provided to allow a buyer to familiarize themselves with the overall scope and floor plan. There have been hundreds of thousands of dollars in renovations since these drawings were completed and those are available to qualified buyers under an NDA.
